The start of the Lunar New Year holiday will bring chaos to a traditional market, driven by Yoo Jae-suk’s emotional outburst and Ji Ye-eun’s sharp wit on SBS’s Running Man.
The episode airing February 15 at 6:10 p.m. will feature the “Seollal Magpie, I’m the Star” race, where members engage in intense mind games and betrayals over limited R coins.
Members visit a traditional market in teams and must use their R coins to secure lunch. As the gap between the “rich” members and the coinless becomes stark, Ji Suk-jin enforces strict capitalist logic, telling his teammate Yoo Jae-suk, “No Money No Food.”
In response, Yoo Jae-suk bursts out in frustration in the middle of the market, saying, “It’s not a crime to have no money,” drawing laughter from everyone present.
Guest Roy Kim and youngest member Ji Ye-eun also provide a key comedic highlight. Known for her love of food, Ji Ye-eun attempts a last-ditch charm offensive to sway Roy Kim’s decision on lunch. However, when Roy Kim remains unmoved and sets strict conditions, she abruptly switches tactics. “This oppa is so stingy,” she fires bluntly, instantly turning playful tension into rivalry.
The lunchtime standoff escalates into the final match, the “Target Ttakji Game.” As members flip and defend their paper tiles, emotional accusations fly, including “You flipped mine?” while others resort to creative tricks such as secretly stepping on or modifying tiles. The race descends into complete unpredictability.
SBS’s Running Man, featuring Yoo Jae-suk’s struggles and the unpredictable ttakji showdown, airs February 15 at 6:10 p.m.
