부팅 실패 해결·메모리 호환성 최적화… “노부팅” 시나리오 겨냥
ASRock이 AM5 메인보드의 전반적인 안정성 개선을 목표로, AMD AGESA 1.3.0.0a를 포함한 베타 BIOS 4.07.AS01 배포를 시작했다. 최근 커뮤니티를 중심으로 Ryzen 9000 관련 CPU 이슈 보고가 이어지는 가운데, ASRock은 AMD와 협력해 원인 검토 및 완화 작업을 진행해 왔고 업데이트는 그 대응의 일환이다.
Ryzen 9000 실패 보고는 여러 제조사 보드에서도 나오는 상황.
ASRock이 공개한 안내 문구(멘트)는 다음과 같다.
“ASRock has maintained close and long-term collaboration with AMD, and continues to carefully review recently discussed CPU-related issues across online communities, while optimizing BIOS functionality and further enhancing overall system stability. Following multiple rounds of collaboration, AMD has provided AGESA 1.3.0.0a to improve overall platform compatibility. ASRock has completed the corresponding integration and has released the Beta BIOS version 4.07.AS01, featuring AGESA 1.3.0.0a, on its official website. The BIOS update includes the following highlights:”
이번 베타 BIOS의 핵심 변경점은 아래 3가지다.
Update AGESA to ComboAM5 PI 1.3.0.0a.
Optimized Memory Compatibility.
Resolve a boot failure occurring on certain CPUs.
특히 시스템이 아예 부팅되지 않는(no-boot) 상황을 직접적으로 겨냥했다. 단순히 초기 부팅 문제가 아니라, 한동안 사용한 뒤 특정 조건에서 부팅이 실패하는 케이스까지 포함해 정상 부팅을 복구하는 목적이라는 설명이다.
“This update is specifically designed to address system no-boot scenarios, including cases where systems may fail to boot after being used for a period of time. Users who encounter such behavior are recommended to update to this BIOS version to help restore normal system boot functionality.”
ASRock은 부팅 실패가 발생하는 CPU를 구체적으로 특정하지는 않았지만, 논의의 중심은 Ryzen 9000 시리즈에 맞춰져 있다. 실패 사례가 많이 거론된 모델로 Ryzen 7 9800X3D가 언급되기도 하나, 특정 X3D만의 문제라기보다는 다른 SKU들과 함께 묶여 논의되는 흐름이다.
다만 베타 BIOS가 모든 문제 가능성을 완전히 차단한다고 단정하긴 어렵다. 그럼에도 메모리 호환성 최적화와 부팅 실패 해결을 전면에 내건 만큼, 관련 리스크를 낮추는 방향의 조치로 받아들여지고 있다.
