Kim Hye-yoon delivered a bold, unfiltered confession that sent viewers’ heart rates soaring. The moment she acknowledged her fluttering emotions, the romance in No Tail to Tell reached a decisive turning point.
In Episode 7 of SBS Friday-Saturday drama No Tail to Tell, aired on February 6, Eun-ho (Kim Hye-yoon) experiences the distinctly human emotion of “fluttering” for the first time through Kang Si-yeol (Lomon). Once adamant that she would neither become human nor fall in love, Eun-ho’s resolve quietly collapses, giving way to an unexpected romantic current.
Earlier in the episode, Eun-ho and Si-yeol rush into a burning orphanage without hesitation to rescue children trapped inside. After regaining consciousness at the hospital, Eun-ho bursts into tears the moment she sees Si-yeol safe, throwing herself into his arms. While their dramatic reunion is deeply moving, an unfamiliar awkwardness lingers on their way home. Eun-ho cannot ignore her racing heartbeat whenever she is near him, marking the beginning of what viewers quickly recognize as her phase of emotional denial.
Meanwhile, Palmiho (Lee Si-woo) voices suspicion when Eun-ho’s fox bead shows no change despite her heroic act. Confused by the lack of spiritual growth, Eun-ho joins Si-yeol in volunteer work at a nursing hospital, where fate takes an unexpected turn.
Si-yeol reunites with his grandmother Kim Bok-soon (Cha Mi-kyung), whom he had believed to be dead. As reality itself appears altered by the shift in fate, Si-yeol breaks down in tears. The warmth is short-lived, however, when Eun-ho is suddenly attacked by a mysterious elderly man, Hwang Dong-sik (Jung Dong-hwan), who blames her for his suffering and nearly strangles her.
Shaken, Eun-ho confides that she feels as though she is being punished for something from her past. Si-yeol gently reassures her, saying that one day this moment will feel like a special dream once it has passed. Their emotional bond deepens, setting the stage for the episode’s unforgettable ending.
When Si-yeol asks, “Was there really not a single thing you liked about becoming human?” Eun-ho pauses before answering softly, “There was. You.”
She then continues without hesitation.
“This might be what humans call dating. Kang Si-yeol, I think I have to date you.”
Her candid, straightforward confession ignites their romance and delivers a heart-pounding cliffhanger.
Episode 8 of No Tail to Tell airs tonight, February 7, at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS.
