Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing network reported that Once We Were Us reclaimed the box office crown on Feb. 2, drawing 24,356 moviegoers in a single day. Its cumulative admissions now stand at 2,347,208.
The film follows Eun-ho, played by Koo Kyo-hwan, and Jung-won, portrayed by Moon Ga-young, former lovers who reunite by chance after a decade apart. Their unexpected encounter unfolds into a relatable romance as they revisit the lingering traces of memory and emotion.
Choir of God slipped to second place after attracting 22,340 viewers for the day, bringing its cumulative total to 956,708. The film centers on a fake praise troupe formed in North Korea to earn foreign currency. After a steady reverse run, it had briefly seized the top spot on Feb. 1.
Third place went to Avatar Fire and Ash with 7,496 admissions, lifting its total to 6,687,294. The story follows the Sully family, still grieving the death of their eldest son Neteyam, as they confront a new threat led by the Ash People chief Varang, escalating into a larger crisis across a Pandora engulfed in fire and ash.
In fourth, Sister sold 4,976 tickets for a cumulative 50,022. The kidnapping thriller tracks Hae-ran, who abducts her sister for ransom, Tae-soo, the mastermind behind the plot, and hostage So-jin, who fights desperately to escape, as hidden truths gradually surface.
Rounding out the top five, Housemaid drew 4,478 viewers, pushing its total to 50,936. The high-tension thriller follows Millie, a mysterious housekeeper with a concealed past, who becomes entangled with Nina and Andrew inside an immaculate mansion, uncovering lies behind closed doors.
