In No Tail to Tell, Kim Hye-yoon’s character ultimately steps forward to change fate itself. It was a choice that would not even fear flames if it meant saving the person she loves.

Episode 6, which aired on January 31, followed Eun-ho (Kim Hye-yoon) as she resolved to switch destinies with Palmiho (Lee Si-woo), leaving a deep emotional resonance with viewers. The broadcast recorded a peak rating of 5.3 percent according to Nielsen Korea, continuing the drama’s steady rise.

Palmiho suggested a drastic method: return Eun-ho to being a gumiho and correct Kang Si-yeol’s (Lomon) twisted fate. By becoming a gumiho himself and exchanging destinies with her, Eun-ho could later restore the lives of both Kang Si-yeol and Hyun Woo-seok (Jang Dong-joo). Though the decision was far from simple, Eun-ho hardened her resolve after recalling Geumho’s words from the past, “Live your own life.”

Following Palmiho’s arrival, a subtle tension flowed among the three. Woo-seok questioned whether Eun-ho could truly become a gumiho again, and Eun-ho responded coldly, sensing his hidden motives. In the end, she asked Palmiho to erase Woo-seok’s memories. Kang Si-yeol struggled to understand her choice but could not turn away from her growing anxiety.

The two also clashed over Palmiho’s wish to become human. Eun-ho tried to show him the cruelty of the human world, while Kang Si-yeol emphasized the happiness it could offer. Yet Palmiho’s dream remained simple: spending a day at an amusement park. Watching him smile freely gradually softened both their expressions.

One of the most memorable moments came when Kang Si-yeol noticed Eun-ho’s injured heel and confessed, “Right now, you’re the only one on my side.” The line heightened the emotional stakes, marking another step forward in their relationship as each other’s only refuge.

Eventually, Eun-ho decided to help Palmiho accumulate good deeds so he could become a gumiho sooner. But her reckless method backfired. Attempting to “help” an injured swallow by nearly breaking its healthy leg shocked Kang Si-yeol, reigniting their playful bickering chemistry.

Then came news of a fire at an orphanage. Hearing that children were trapped inside, Eun-ho and Kang Si-yeol rushed into the flames without hesitation. The following hospital scene delivered the episode’s emotional climax. Waking first and unable to find him, Eun-ho was overwhelmed with fear, only to break into tears and embrace Kang Si-yeol when she finally heard his voice. The mix of relief and anxiety in their tearful reunion left viewers deeply moved.

Meanwhile, the suspicious movements of Jang Do-cheol (Kim Tae-woo) and Lee Yoon (Choi Seung-yoon) added new tension. With the series past its midpoint, anticipation grows over how this fate-defying rescue romance will ultimately conclude.
