The special chemistry among the roommates of Dormitory Room 301 in Undercover Miss Hong is coming into the spotlight.
In episode three, airing on the 24th, Hong Geum-bo (played by Park Shin-hye), who has gone undercover at Hanmin Securities, begins her full-scale struggle in her secret mission, while shifting relationships around her are set to deliver thrilling tension to viewers.
In episodes one and two, the 35-year-old elite financial supervisor Hong Geum-bo completely reset her identity, transforming into a 20-year-old entry-level employee. From her appearance and speech to her personality and career, everything was rebuilt. Now, she steps forward in earnest toward her mission to uncover Hanmin Securities’ slush fund accounting ledger in an unfamiliar environment.
What draws the most attention is the chemistry among the four roommates of Room 301. Hong Geum-bo, the eldest who paradoxically takes on the role of the youngest; Go Bok-hee (played by Ha Yoon-kyung), the president’s exclusive secretary and the de facto leader of Room 301; Kang Nora (played by Choi Ji-soo), the daughter of Chairman Kang Pil-beom who hides her identity while working at the company; and Kim Mi-sook (played by Kang Chae-young), the emotional refuge of the group. Each woman carries her own hidden story as they gather under one roof.
The subtle change in the relationship between Hong Geum-bo and Go Bok-hee, in particular, captures viewers’ attention. Go Bok-hee, who was accused of embezzlement at her previous workplace and secretly obtained Hanmin Securities’ slush fund ledger, stands at the center of growing tension. As Hong Geum-bo begins to open her heart, she is confronted with Bok-hee’s true face, leading to inner conflict. Whether their love-hate chemistry will evolve into genuine friendship at decisive moments heightens anticipation.
Meanwhile, as Hong Geum-bo faces contempt and disregard from conservative superiors and an uncomfortable reunion with the newly appointed president Shin Jung-woo (played by Ko Kyung-pyo), the Room 301 roommates roll up their sleeves and step in together. The process of the four women joining forces to overcome adversity is expected to elevate the drama’s appeal.
From a lively office comedy and thrilling undercover operations to heartwarming female solidarity, Undercover Miss Hong promises a rich blend of genres. Episode three airs on the 24th at 9:10 p.m. on tvN.
