Girl group ILLIT has demonstrated powerful long-term success by adding another music broadcast trophy to their collection, even after officially wrapping up their promotional activities.
On January 17, ILLIT took first place on MBC’s Show! Music Core, marking their third music show win with the title track "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" from their first single album. Following the surprise win after the end of their formal promotions, the members expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their fandom, GLLIT, through their agency Belift Lab, promising to remain a group that fans can always look forward to.
This victory is particularly significant as it was achieved nearly two months after the song's initial release. When official promotions ended on December 13 last year, the track sat at number 30 on the MelOn Top 100. However, fueled by fan support, the group made an exceptional return to music shows a month later, and the song soared to number 13 as of January 16, creating a genuine "chart-climbing" syndrome.
The group’s global presence is equally impressive. According to the latest Billboard charts, "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" ranked 7th on the Bubbling Under Hot 100, raising expectations for an eventual entry into the main Hot 100 chart. Furthermore, ILLIT's monthly viewers on YouTube Music have neared 600 million, proving their worldwide influence.
ILLIT's achievements in the Japanese market are also noteworthy. The group ranked 3rd in the "Rookie Sales" category of the Oricon Annual Ranking 2025. Following the success of their debut track "Magnetic," their first Japanese original song "Almond Chocolate" and the first Japanese single "Toki Yo Tomare" have become consecutive hits, generating sales of approximately 1.06 billion yen (around 9.9 billion KRW).
With their continued dominance on domestic and international charts even after ending official promotions, the industry is closely watching to see what new records ILLIT will set next.
