As Love Me heads toward its final two episodes, the drama delivered peak tension. The moment Seo Hyun-jin broke her secret promise with Jang Ryul, viewers’ curiosity exploded and the story took a decisive turn.
In episodes 9 and 10, aired on January 16, the Seo family was shown struggling to find their own paths in life as unexpected conflicts and emotional upheavals unfolded. Despite ongoing tension with his son Seo Jun-seo (Lee Si-woo), Seo Jin-ho (Yoo Jae-myung) found it difficult to let go of the family home filled with shared memories. His daughter Seo Jun-kyung (Seo Hyun-jin) came up with a bold idea. Accepting Joo Do-hyun’s (Jang Ryul) suggestion to “live together,” she moved into the family house on a lease. Jun-seo also began a new chapter by becoming independent in a rooftop room with Ji Hye-on (Dahyun).
Now in a common-law marriage with Do-hyun, Jun-kyung felt both happiness and anxiety. Despite the stability and warmth he provided, she was haunted by the fear that she might run away when faced with unforeseen tragedy. Her mother Kim Mi-ran (Jang Hye-jin), however, offered heartfelt comfort. “Love includes not only joyful and happy moments, but also the painful and pitiful ones.” Encouraged by these words, Jun-kyung overcame her fear and officially announced her intention to marry Do-hyun, stunning everyone around her.
Meanwhile, Jin-ho and Jin Ja-young (Yoon Se-ah) continued their modest yet steady life at a campsite. Their happiness was short-lived, however, as reality brought new challenges. Jun-seo secured a part-time lecturer position, but it came with heavy financial burdens. Wanting to share his joy with Hye-on yet unable to confide even in his family, he resorted to short-term card loans and part-time jobs to cope.
Jin Ja-young also experienced a sudden physical abnormality while painting and was seized by fear in the forest. Jin-ho, who searched for her as she wandered until late at night with no memory, could not even allow himself a sigh of relief.
The most shocking development came during Jun-kyung and Do-hyun’s preparations for pregnancy. After learning that Do-hyun was congenitally infertile, they decided to quietly accept the situation without undergoing genetic testing. Yet Jun-kyung was the first to break their promise.
Do-hyun’s ex-girlfriend Im Yoon-joo (Gong Seong-ha) visited after hearing news of their wedding preparations and openly provoked her. Citing Daniel as the connection between them, Jun-kyung asked the irreversible question, “Is Daniel really your biological son?” At that moment, a Pandora’s box that could never be closed again was opened.
The final two episodes of Love Me will air consecutively on Friday, January 23, at 8:50 p.m. on JTBC. How Jun-kyung, Do-hyun, and the Seo family’s story will conclude has drawn intense attention from viewers.
