BTS is set to paint the world purple once again in 2026 with the release of a new full-length album and their first large-scale world tour in four years.
On January 14, BigHit Music unveiled the official “BTS WORLD TOUR” poster through the global fan platform Weverse, signaling the beginning of the massive project.
According to the announcement, the tour is currently confirmed for 79 shows across 34 cities. This marks the largest schedule ever for a single K-pop tour, with additional dates in Japan and the Middle East expected to be announced, further expanding its scale.
The tour will begin in Korea. BTS will open their world tour with concerts at Goyang Sports Complex on April 9 and April 11 to 12, followed by performances at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13, coinciding with the group’s debut anniversary.
The overseas leg will unfold as a full-scale stadium tour spanning North America, Europe, and South America. Beginning in late April in Tampa, the North American schedule includes major venues such as El Paso’s Sun Bowl Stadium and Stanford Stadium. The tour will then continue to five major European cities including London and Paris, before heading to South America. To match its monumental scale, the tour will feature a 360-degree stage design, maximizing audience immersion.
Most notably, the tour is directly connected to BTS’s upcoming fifth full-length album, set for release on March 20. This will be the group’s first complete album in approximately three years and nine months. Fans can expect the members’ heartfelt stories and musical growth to resonate on an unprecedented scale, creating explosive synergy between the new music and the world tour stage.
