JCG Co., Ltd., a rising leader in the South Korean public sector AI solutions market, is accelerating its global expansion through a strategic partnership with a premier artificial intelligence firm in Laos.
On January 5, 2026, JCG announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for AI technology cooperation with LALIGENCE Co., Ltd., a Lao-based AI innovation company. The agreement aims to leverage the core technologies and business networks of both firms to spearhead digital transformation (DX) across public and private sectors in Southeast Asia.
LALIGENCE is recognized for providing AI solutions optimized for the Lao language and local business environments. The company maintains a distinct competitive edge in localized technologies, including Lao-specific Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and License Plate Recognition (LPR). Complementing this, JCG recently demonstrated its technical prowess with the successful implementation of "Sowon AI" for the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, powered by its specialized generative AI platform, "Centras AI."
Centras AI is distinguished by its high degree of accuracy, utilizing 13 patented technologies including "article-level chunking" tailored for complex laws and ordinances. The platform is designed to modernize public services while minimizing initial investment hurdles through a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription model. JCG has already proposed the implementation of Centras AI to over 50 public institutions and local governments in South Korea.
Under the terms of the MOU, the two companies will collaborate on several key fronts:
* Jointly identifying and promoting AI projects for public institutions and enterprises.
* Co-developing AI-based solutions, including AI chatbots and data analytics.
* Collaborating on AI services specifically tailored for Laos and the broader Southeast Asian region.
Within this framework, JCG will oversee business planning and execution based on its extensive experience in AI platform operation. LALIGENCE will contribute its expertise in local language data, technical system architecture, and the Lao business landscape.
"Our goal is to successfully settle in the Southeast Asian market by combining the proven technical capabilities of the Centras AI platform with LALIGENCE’s local optimization expertise," said Joseph Hyun, CEO of JCG. "Building on our success in the Korean public sector, such as with the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, we are committed to introducing differentiated AI administrative services throughout Southeast Asia."
Industry analysts are closely watching the partnership, noting that it represents a significant move by a Korean AI firm to capture the high-growth Southeast Asian digital market through a localized, strategic approach.
