Rookie girl group KIIRAS has successfully wrapped up its debut year, backed by solid live performance skills and an active push into overseas markets.
According to its agency LeanBranding on December 30, KIIRAS focused throughout the year on consistent musical activities, from its debut track “KILL MA BO$$” to its most recent seasonal release, while steadily expanding its influence in international markets.
Since debuting in May, KIIRAS has maintained a steady release schedule, dropping the single “BANG BANG!” in November followed by the December seasonal song “KIIRASMAS.” Notably, the group delivered full handheld microphone live performances on major music programs, firmly establishing its image as a performance-driven act. The youngest member, ROA, further stood out by appearing on “Gugak Hanmadang,” an unusual move for an idol, demonstrating a vocal spectrum that bridges traditional Korean music and K-pop.
The group’s overseas performance has also drawn attention. After completing promotions in Singapore and Malaysia in August, KIIRAS is set to headline “NEW YEAR’S EVE AT SUNWAY VELOCITY,” a large-scale countdown event in Malaysia, on December 31, becoming the first K-pop idol group to do so. The achievement is seen as a testament to the group’s global potential, especially in connection with activities by Malaysian member Ling Ling.
Industry recognition has followed. KIIRAS received the Rookie Award at the “2025 Korea Hallyu Entertainment Awards” and was invited to the 30th Asian Television Awards held in Jakarta, marking its growing presence across major award platforms.
The agency stated, “Next year, the group plans to further expand its activities on a global scale,” adding, “By centering on live performances, KIIRAS will strengthen its standing as artists and solidify its own distinct identity.”
