BTS member Jung Kook delivered a special musical gift to fans on Christmas Eve.
On December 24, BigHit Music released a cover video of Jung Kook singing “The Christmas Song” through the group’s official SoundCloud and YouTube channels.
The content was planned to convey Jung Kook’s heartfelt wish to share warmth with ARMY as the year comes to a close.
Jung Kook’s reinterpretation of “The Christmas Song” is based on the classic year-end standard originally sung by Nat King Cole, using the version rerecorded by Johnny Stimson in 2020 as its foundation. Adding his own delicate expressiveness and soft vocals, he completed a rendition with a distinct charm.
The video is made even more special as Jung Kook personally handled the filming. The visuals, combining Seoul’s beautiful night scenery with his warm voice, heighten the emotional atmosphere of a winter night, while glimpses of everyday moments reveal his sincerity toward fans.
Jung Kook has previously showcased a wide musical spectrum by covering songs by artists such as Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, and IU. This cover video once again highlights both his solid capabilities as a vocalist and his deep affection for fans.
Meanwhile, BTS has announced plans to open a new chapter of global activities with the release of a new album next spring, followed by a large-scale world tour.
