Disney’s animated film "Zootopia 2" has become the highest-grossing film of the year.
According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network on the 19th, “Zootopia 2” reached a cumulative total of 5,710,867 admissions as of the 18th, breaking all previous records. It surpassed the 5,681,456 admissions recorded by “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle,” taking the No. 1 position at the 2025 Korean box office. It also became the first Disney animated film to top Korea’s annual box office, marking a significant achievement.
Its global performance is equally impressive. “Zootopia 2” surpassed 1.13667 billion dollars (approximately 1.6787 trillion won) in global box office revenue as of the 15th, making it the highest-grossing Hollywood film released this year. It dominates numerous No. 1 titles worldwide, drawing continued attention. Now in its fourth week, it still ranks No. 2 in real-time ticket sales, following “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” demonstrating its sustained popularity.
“Zootopia 2” follows Judy and Nick as they chase a mysterious snake named Gary who has shaken the city. Their pursuit pulls them into a new and dangerous world, creating a thrilling chase adventure. The film is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
