The final chapter of the "Tazza" series is on its way.
The fourth installment of the franchise, tentatively titled "Tazza: Song of Beelzebub," has confirmed its cast including Byun Yo-han, Noh Jae-won, and Ayaka Miyoshi, and has been in production since September. The crime film follows Jang Tae-young (Byun Yo-han), who once believed he had the world at his feet through a poker business, and his former best friend Park Tae-young (Noh Jae-won), who took everything from him. The two reunite in a high-stakes global gambling arena where they risk their lives.
The "Tazza" series has left a lasting mark with countless iconic scenes and lines by blending cinematic storytelling with gambling themes such as hwatu and poker. This new installment shifts the focus to a global poker business, following two friends who step into an international gambling world to deliver fresh cinematic thrills. The newly revealed key image draws attention with a striking combination of a fly symbolizing Beelzebub, the lord of hell, and a bloodstained fingerprint atop poker cards, heightening curiosity.
Byun Yo-han plays Jang Tae-young, a natural-born gambler instinctively drawn to money and high-stakes games. As he awakens to the poker business and launches a new venture, he is unexpectedly betrayed by his close friend Park Tae-young and falls into ruin. Having delivered immersive performances in box office hits such as "Voice," "Hansan: Rising Dragon," and "Following," Byun is expected to inject new energy into "Tazza: Song of Beelzebub" with his intense presence.
Noh Jae-won portrays Park Tae-young, a poker prodigy who nonetheless constantly lags behind Jang Tae-young in their rivalry. Persuaded by Jang, Park enters the poker business and gradually becomes obsessed with success. After gaining worldwide attention as Nam-gyu, Thanos’s right-hand man in the "Squid Game" series, Noh is set to create a compelling dynamic with Byun through his morally complex charm.
Unlike previous installments, "Tazza: Song of Beelzebub" expands its gambling stage globally with the casting of Ayaka Miyoshi. Beginning her career as a top Japanese model, Miyoshi has been active across film and television, including her role as An in Netflix’s hit series "Alice in Borderland." She is also well known for expressing her affection for Korea on social media.
Miyoshi plays Kaneko, the head of a company backed by a yakuza organization who takes interest in the poker business shared by Jang Tae-young and Park Tae-young. As a new character following in the lineage of iconic roles previously portrayed by Kim Hye-soo and Shin Se-kyung, she is expected to further expand the "Tazza" universe.
The film is directed by Choi Kook-hee, who earned acclaim for his dense and nuanced storytelling in "Default," which depicted individuals making different choices during Korea’s 1997 IMF financial crisis. With "Tazza: Song of Beelzebub," Choi aims to preserve the franchise’s originality while introducing bold changes to the series.
Scheduled for release in 2026.
