A Kwon Sang-woo-style comedy film is coming in the new year of 2026. It's not 'Hitman,' but 'Heartman.'
'Heartman' is a comedy about the returning man, Seung-min (Kwon Sang-woo), who struggles to win back his first love, but things go awry when he develops a secret he can absolutely never tell her.
The teaser poster for Seung-min (Kwon Sang-woo), released on the 1st, catches the eye with a 'bittersweet' expression—a smile on his lips but tears welling up in his eyes. His first love, Bona (Moon Chae-won), is reflected in the lens as he slightly lowers his heart-frame sunglasses, capturing Seung-min's complex emotions and excitement simultaneously, raising curiosity about the charm he will display in 'Heartman.'
The accompanying teaser poster for Moon Chae-won's Bona completes the atmosphere of a legendary first love with a soft and warm smile. The subtly cast heart-shaped frame symbolically expresses the presence of his first love as seen through Seung-min's eyes, also building anticipation for the charm Bona will showcase. Notably, both posters include the phrase, "Why are you returning now, love?," heightening interest in the story of the two people unexpectedly encountering each other again.
'Heartman' marks the reunion of Kwon Sang-woo, the 'Hitman' of the comedy genre, and director Choi Won-seop. They are joined by Moon Chae-won, who is expected to show reliable comedic chemistry, along with Park Ji-hwan and P.O (Pyo Ji-hoon), who have displayed a powerful presence in every work, forming a complete comedic squad known for its high box office success rate. As a work from production company Movie Rock, which has presented 'Midnight Runners,' 'Pilot,' and 'Sweet & Sour,' the film is expected to meet audiences as a movie that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy without burden.
'Heartman' will be available in theaters nationwide on January 14th.
