A2O MAY, a girl group belonging to A2O Entertainment, entered the U.S. Billboard chart with its first mini-album after its debut, proving its presence as a global rookie. A2O Entertainment announced on the 20th that A2O MAY's first mini-album, "PAPARAZI ARRIVE," released on the 24th of last month, performed well on the Billboard chart on November 22.
"PAPARAZZI ARRIVE" ranked eighth on the "Emerging Artist" chart, which selects the fastest-growing new artists in the United States. It also reached No. 40 on the "Top Album Sales" chart and No. 11 on the "World Album" chart, which counts the popularity of non-English-speaking albums, proving its global power.
The "Emerging Artist" chart is selected by combining various factors such as album and track sales, streaming, radio broadcasting, and social media fan reactions.
A2O MAY is a five-member girl group that debuted last year with "Under My Skin," a remake of TVXQ's songs. A multinational group consisting of two Americans and three Chinese people, they were particularly called the "Lee Soo-man girl group" and had been attracting a lot of attention even before their debut.
They won three rookie awards this year in the U.S. and China, where they mainly work. They are recognized as emerging global stars by receiving awards at major award ceremonies such as the 2025 Asian Hall of Fame New Artist Awards and the China Weibo Contest Night Rookie Award.
