Actress Park Min-young is set to become a new beauty role model in New York through tvN’s latest variety show "Perfect Glow."
The first episode, airing on November 8, follows Ra Mi-ran, Park Min-young, Joo Jong-hyuk, Cha Hong, Leo J, and Pony as they nervously begin their first day at "Danjang," a K-beauty salon newly opened in Manhattan’s upscale beauty district — often compared to Seoul’s Cheongdam-dong. On opening day, salon manager Park Min-young instantly captures the attention of a local New Yorker client, sparking unique chemistry that draws everyone’s focus.
"Perfect Glow" features Korea’s top hair and makeup experts — led by Ra Mi-ran and Park Min-young — showcasing authentic Korean beauty techniques in the heart of Manhattan. Following the waves of K-pop and K-food, K-beauty is now taking the U.S. by storm, marking another stage in the growing power of Hallyu culture.
Among the day’s first clients is Mary Kate, a 38-year-old mother of two who gave birth just four months ago. Describing herself as a “tired mom,” she tells Park Min-young during her consultation that she has “barely worn proper makeup” and wants to regain her glow through the K-beauty experience.
Realizing she and Park Min-young are the same age, Mary Kate expresses admiration, saying, “Your skin is incredible,” before adding, “I wish I could look like you — please make me look like a Korean actress.” Her candid request surprises the entire team.
To help Mary Kate rediscover her hidden confidence, beauty experts Cha Hong and Leo J join forces. Together, they revitalize her post-pregnancy complexion into a radiant, youthful glow and take special steps to add volume to her thinning hair. As the transformation unfolds, curiosity grows about whether Mary Kate’s “K-glow-up,” inspired by Park Min-young, will succeed.
"Perfect Glow" premieres on tvN at 10:50 p.m. on November 8, with the first three episodes available globally via Amazon Prime Video on November 23, followed by new episodes every Sunday.
