BTS member Jungkook has achieved another streaming milestone as a solo artist, with his track “Dreamers” surpassing 500 million streams on Spotify. The feat marks his fifth solo song to reach the half-billion mark, underscoring his continued global dominance as both a member of BTS and an individual musician.
According to BigHit Music on October 21, Jungkook’s “Dreamers,” the official soundtrack for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™, has recorded more than 500 million plays on Spotify as of October 19.
The song, released in November 2022, reached the milestone nearly three years after its debut. It follows the success of Jungkook’s other blockbuster tracks — “Seven (feat. Latto)” with over 2.5 billion streams, “Standing Next to You,” “Left and Right (feat. Jung Kook of BTS)” with Charlie Puth, and “3D (feat. Jack Harlow).”
Upon its release, “Dreamers” topped the iTunes “Top Songs” chart in 102 countries and ranked No. 2 on Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs Global” chart. Its enduring popularity, fueled by BTS’s worldwide influence and Jungkook’s distinct vocal appeal, has kept it resonating among global fans.
The milestone not only reinforces Jungkook’s position as one of the most influential K-pop soloists in the world but also cements his status as a versatile artist capable of transcending genres and languages.
Meanwhile, BTS is reportedly preparing for a full-group comeback in the spring of next year.
