The European Union's (EU) Executive Chief, Ursula von der Leyen, recently held a phone conversation with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss the imposition of tariffs by the United States. This summit is anticipated to be a significant opportunity to strengthen bilateral cooperation in key areas such as defense, trade, and the economy. "The upcoming summit is a crucial chance to reinforce our partnership in vital sectors," von der Leyen noted.

Ahead of this summit, von der Leyen is also scheduled to attend the 'International Summit on the Future of Energy Security' in London on the 24th, where she will meet with Prime Minister Starmer. This event is expected to further facilitate dialogue on critical issues such as energy security, a topic of mutual interest.
