- Can you introduce yourself?

Hello, I am Hyung-Min Yoon, CEO of Dongyang Logitech. I have dedicated 37 years to the logistics equipment industry, focusing on enhancing logistics environments and cost efficiency for our customers. Inheriting my father’s business, I have relentlessly pursued technological innovation to create a more competitive logistics infrastructure.

- What is Dongyang Logitech?

Dongyang Logitech pioneered Korea’s logistics container standards by developing and producing mesh pallets and steel box pallets. In 2018, we launched our electric logistics equipment brand ‘MAITI’ and introduced ‘LiGO,’ a fully electric pallet truck equipped with an eco-friendly lithium battery. Our company is committed to a “customer-first approach,” constantly striving to improve efficiency and eliminate inconvenience in logistics operations.

- What drove the company to focus on developing advanced logistics equipment?

The logistics container industry offers various standardized products, such as mesh pallets, steel box pallets, and roll containers. However, rather than standardized models, most companies now require customized logistics containers tailored to specific components and industrial needs. If standardized containers prove inconvenient, customers simply won’t use them. Recognizing this shift, we anticipated growth in the market for customized solutions, offering diverse options in load capacity, wheel design, and size.

- What makes Dongyang Logitech’s logistics containers unique?

Our products undergo 3D design as a standard, and before prototype production, they go through rigorous simulation tests to eliminate errors. As a result, designs are finalized in just two to three hours. Additionally, our fully integrated production system—from material cutting and fabrication to surface treatment and painting—allows for rapid sample production and shorter delivery times.

- What are the key considerations in product development?

Having worked in logistics automation for years, we deeply understand the challenges our customers face. One of the most common issues is cleanliness. Contaminated wheels often make it impossible to maintain clean floors, and replacing wheels frequently does not offer a lasting solution. This led us to develop the Clean Caster.

- What is the Clean Caster?

The Clean Caster is designed to sweep, clean, and collect debris from wheels, addressing a persistent cleanliness problem in logistics sites. The bracket structure protects the cleaning cartridge from external impact, while the H-shaped cartridge efficiently captures contaminants during both forward and reverse wheel rotation. The brush, made of specialized material for durability and optimal friction, effectively removes debris, ensuring cleanliness. Moreover, our patented caster design allows both forward and reverse movement, enhancing performance.

- What is ‘MAITI,’ one of your key product lines?

MAITI represents our commitment to leading innovation in electric industrial vehicles. Our lineup includes a diverse range of compact yet highly functional electric logistics equipment, including customized special-order machinery tailored to customer needs. Notably, our electric side forklift is a one-of-a-kind product in Korea, and our high-performance electric tow tractors are designed and engineered in-house. MAITI products are compact yet durable, offering maximum convenience and adaptability. Moving forward, we will continue refining our logistics equipment based on customer feedback and expanding our product range.

- ‘LiGO’ has gained significant popularity. What makes it stand out?

LiGO has been highly anticipated because lifting and transporting goods efficiently is at the core of logistics operations. This fully electric pallet truck simplifies lifting and moving at the push of a button. The standout feature is its eco-friendly lithium battery, which allows for over three hours of continuous operation on a single charge and has a lifespan of more than three years. Additionally, it ensures effortless transport of heavy loads and features a safety brake that prevents slipping on inclines.

- What are your future plans?

From its origins as a steel logistics container manufacturer, Dongyang Logitech has evolved into a specialist in electric logistics equipment. This transformation was driven by our commitment to innovation and bold decision-making. Moving forward, we will continue developing technologies to enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency in logistics. Our goal is to become a leader in the industry, providing cutting-edge solutions that serve as the ultimate logistics partner for our customers.
