BLACKPINK will go on a stadium world tour starting with a domestic performance in July...Korean girl group entered Wembley in the UK for the first time

 

Girl group Black Pink will go on a large-scale world tour starting with domestic performances on July 5 and 6. In particular, it will meet with fans at major stadium venues around the world, including the first Korean girl group to take the stage at Wembley Stadium in England.​

According to his agency YG Entertainment on the 20th, Black Pink will be on the stage of the stadium, starting with Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province in July, including SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Chicago Soldier Field, Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Canada, and City Field in New York, USA.​

They will then perform at Stade de France in Paris, Italy, Efodromo Snai La Maura in Milan, Italy, Estadi Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, Spain, Wembley Stadium in London, the U.K., and Tokyo Dome in Japan. YG unveiled only 10 regional concerts on the day, and plans to release the schedule between the concerts in Japan in January next year after the concert in Wembley.​

In particular, Wembley, the venue for the U.K.'s flagship stadium, will be the second K-pop singer to perform after BTS in 2019 and the first K-pop girl group to perform. Wembley Stadium is also famous for performing the legendary band Queen's Live Aid.​

This world tour is meaningful in that the four members of Rosé, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo re-sign with YG Entertainment as a group after their solo activities, and it is the first concert tour around the world together after starting individual activities at their respective agencies.​

Through this world tour, Blackpink will perform on a large scale and the best performance compared to the last "Born Pink" tour, which attracted a total of 1.8 million people.​

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK members are currently focusing on their solo activities. Rosé released her first full-length album "Rosie" in December last year, and Jisoo, who is also working as an actor, released her first mini-album "Amortage" on the 14th. Lisa will release her first full-length album "Alter Ego" on the 28th, and Jenny will release her first full-length album "Ruby" on the 7th of next month.
