Jimin, a BTS, was nominated for four categories at the "2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards" in the United States, setting a record for the most nominations for a K-pop solo artist.
According to the list of nominees for the "2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards" announced on the 22nd (local time), Jimin was nominated for the K-pop Artist of the Year category and was nominated for Best Lyric and K-pop Song of the Year for his solo album title track "Who." He was also nominated for the Favorite on Screen category with his travelogue "Is This Right?!" filmed with Jungkook, raising his chances of winning in a total of four categories.
In particular, Jimin is the first Korean singer to be nominated in the Best Lyric category. Jimin is competing with world-renowned musicians such as Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Irish, and Kendrick Lamar for the award.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards is an award ceremony hosted by iHeartRadio, the largest online radio station in the U.S., and awards the most played artists and songs on iHeartRadio stations and applications last year. This year's award ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on March 17 and will be broadcast live on FOX channels in the U.S.
Since 2018, BTS has proved its global popularity by winning the iHeartRadio Music Awards every year. In particular, last year, it showed off its powerful influence by winning awards in various categories with solo activities by members as well as teams.
Jimin's nomination is expected to further solidify his position as a solo artist.
