Group I.O.I has hinted at its full-group synergy through a daring new music video teaser that delicately connects the group’s past and present.
On May 6, Swing Entertainment unveiled the music video teaser for "Suddenly," the title track from I.O.I’s third mini album "I.O.I : LOOP," through the group’s official SNS channels.
The teaser unfolds around a provocative scene in which Jeon Somi suddenly approaches Kim Doyeon and leaves an unexpected kiss. Kim Doyeon’s flustered reaction contrasts sharply with Jeon Somi’s playful exit through the doorway, creating the atmosphere of a light retro film while leaving a powerful impression.
The unusual tension naturally intertwines with the group’s pre-release track "Goodbye With a Smile," recorded back in 2016, while also echoing the vintage maturity and playful expressions revealed in previous teasers. The contrast recalls the innocence of I.O.I’s early days while presenting a more refined emotional texture.
That visually crafted charm further heightens anticipation for "Suddenly," a synth-pop track that delicately captures sudden waves of longing. Expectations are also rising for the album itself, especially as members including Jeon Somi actively participated in the creative process.
Meanwhile, I.O.I will officially release its third mini album "I.O.I : LOOP" on May 19. The group will then launch its Asia tour, "2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP," with a three-day concert run at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul from May 29 to 31.
