The group Stray Kids will release their new album "SKZ IT TAPE - DO IT" at 2 p.m. (Korea Standard Time) today (21st) and announce the "ultra-fast comeback" in 2025. It is the first new work in about three months since the fourth full-length album "KARMA," which made a new history on the Billboard main album chart "Bilboard 200," and will show two polar charms with double title songs.
Stray Kids explained Shinbo's various aspects through an intro video released on the 19th. If the previous album "KARMA" was an album that celebrated achievements, the new "DO IT" goes beyond self-congratulations and contains the spirit of hustle, "Let's just do it as we've been doing so far."
The album is expected to feature a double title song for the first time in a long time since the 2021 holiday single. The first title song, "Do It," was created by the members during a three-day song camp, and it is a Latin genre full of confidence that "Let's show what kind of team Stray Kids are." "It boasts a more mature and sexy atmosphere than 'Chk Chk Boom,'" the members said of the song, adding, "It is a song that induces inner dance, dominated by smooth and rhythmic movements rather than powerfulness."
Another title song, "New Play," is full of exceptional novelty that Stray Kids try for the first time, to the extent that people say, "We do this?" Bang Chan, Chang Bin and Han of the production team 3RACHA contain the planning intention of "We will show how we play with music."
The song is a fusion of old-school hip-hop from the days of Tupac and Snoop Dogg with a nostalgic melody of R&B in the 1990s. In addition, Korean elements such as "Dung Gideok Kung Dru" are included, and efforts to pioneer a new "NEW POP" stand out as the members say, "It feels like drinking yakgwa with warm coffee." The members raised their expectations for the year-end performance, saying, "New Play" is a song that imagines the stage."
The album, which contains a total of five songs, includes "Holiday," which will convey comfort with "Songs Made Because I Want to Rest," a fan song "Photobook" to fandom, and "Do It (Festival Version)," which reinterprets "Do It" more exciting and powerful.
"I want to engrave our names properly at the end of the year," Stray Kids said. "This album is a big gift to STAY, and I'm going to show it by the end of the year as I haven't seen it a lot." Stray Kids' new masterpiece "SKZ IT TAPE - DO IT," which had the best year of 2025 with the spirit of "do it," will be released this afternoon.
