The “K-Drama OST Concert (OST Symphony II: K-Drama in Concert)” concluded to enthusiastic applause in the Philippines, showcasing the enduring global appeal of Korean television music.

Held on October 25 at SM Aura Samsung Hall in Taguig City, the event was organized by the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (Director Kim Myung-jin) in collaboration with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) to commemorate the 2025 APEC Summit.

The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra led the performance, marking the second season of the concert following last year’s success. Both shows—approximately 2,000 seats in total—sold out within five minutes of ticket release, with long queues forming outside the venue as fans sought any remaining tickets.

The repertoire included iconic K-Drama themes from “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” and “Crash Landing on You,” along with more recent hits such as “Queen of Tears,” “No Home,” and “K-pop Demon Hunters.” In a special highlight, the audience was treated to “Bagong Tadhana” (New Destiny) from the Filipino drama “Sang’gre,” performed live to loud cheers.

Korean artists Hong Issac and YEGNY, joined by Filipino singers Kyline Alcantara and Angel Guardian, delivered heartfelt collaborations that transcended borders and languages.

Distinguished guests included Lee Sang-hwa, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines; Kaye Tinga, President of the Cultural Center of the Philippines; and Bernan Joseph Corpuz, Deputy Executive Director of the NCCA. The event was supported by KOTRA Manila, GMA Network, Viu Philippines, and SM Supermalls, among others.

Ahead of the concert, a “K-Drama OST and Show Production Workshop” was held on October 23 at the BGC Arts Center. Korean music director Lee Jong-myung (You Are the Apple of My Eye, The Box) and Kwon Jae-young, producer of KBS’s Immortal Songs, shared insights into OST creation and music entertainment production with Filipino students and industry professionals.

Director Kim Myung-jin of the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines remarked, “This year’s concert was a more refined second season of the K-Drama OST series, specially arranged to coincide with the APEC Summit. Beyond the concert itself, we expanded the experience through workshops and pop-up events, creating a meaningful platform to celebrate the achievements of Korea’s content industry.”
